Curious about the new tpappy logo? In the past, the logo for my creative services company has been a clean, non-bug execution with expertly kerned typography. Wanting to change that for this latest iteration, I recalled the early days of my career as an art student, hauling an oversized and very heavy portfolio through the steep streets of downtown Pittsburgh. Any local 'burgher knew about those crazy art students by their choice of hair style, skin art and clothing, but the tell-tale flag of an art student was their portfolio.
That icon with three blocks of bright color popping out of the top is now the perfect bug for my logo, and represents the variety of my creative talent. The tpappy portion? Similar to Federal Express adopting and rebranding as FedEx—it was a customer-driven decision. My friends and clients enjoy using tpappy as my unofficial nickname, and I love it. My creative mind never rests—and my mark evolves as I evolve.
